Amazon is getting ready for a new Amazon Prime Air program which, to put it simple and short, will have packages delivered to consumers in thirty minutes or less by means of unmanned aerial vehicles. A video of a recent test flight of the delivery drones in action shows just how efficient they can be, and why we would randomly order a couple of products just to see the drones bring them home.
Amazon does say that it will take a few years before the drones actually take to the skies and start distributing products. One of the requirements for this would be the availability of rules and regulations from the FAA. Amazon hopes that the rules will be set sometime in 2015, and they would be ready with their army of “Prime Air” delivery drones at that time.
