Humans speak a lot of different languages. It would only be logical that animals also speak differently. For example, a Korean horse would speak different than an English horse. A phony lesson in animal linguistics aside, animal sounds in different languages obviously have different words attached to them.
These remarkable and slightly humorous images by James Chapman present different words that are used for common animal sounds in languages around the world. And they are fascinating, to say the least. Prints available on the artist’s Etsy shop.
