In the future, humans will apparently be up to some weird shit. So, not really much different than what we have been doing all along. What it does seem is that humans will become a race of very hardworking individuals, who wouldn’t have time to sit down for a meal, but would rather chow on algae living in the weird food tubes people would wear all the time.
Taking its good looks from Bane’s mask, the algae suit is a set of tubes that grow slimy green algae in them. Exhaled carbon di-oxide and some exposure to the sun should be enough to keep the algae thriving and enough for three square meals a day. Designed by Burton Nitta, the suit made an appearance at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, where an opera singer donned the suit and the algae were apparently available for guests to taste, after the function.
Though all this sounds really gross to most of us reading this, considering the pressure on our food supplies, humans might soon have to move towards non-traditional means of food. Insects and algae included.
