An abandoned quarry in China is all set to become the spot of luxuries as construction begins on a new 19-story luxury hotel. To be built inside a cave at the base of the Tianmenshan Mountain, the hotel will rise only 15 meters above the ground and will sport a garden at its roof.

Two floors of the hotel will in fact be underwater and their glass walls will afford patrons the view of a gigantic aquarium. Designed by British-based firm Atkins, the InterContinental Shimao hotel will have 380 rooms and is expected to be completed in 2015 with a cost of $520 million.
