NYC is busy working on the Second Avenue Subway, the first line under the city since 1932. Aimed towards decreasing commuter congestion towards east Manhattan, the line will cost $4.5 billion. For what we think seeing these images, the line might be a portal to another world. Perhaps it’s the lights, or it could be the photographs themselves, but these do give the feel of an otherworldly operation.
