The concept for this Audi bike comes on the heels of the automaker’s acquisition of Ducati. French designer Thibault Devauze who has been an intern at both Audi and Ducati, decided to take the idea for a spin in this independent design. The concept gets a taste of its inspiration from DKW motorcycles that were manufactured by automaker DKW who later merged into Audi to form the Auto Union.
Working with Marc Devauze and modeler Clement Couvreur, Thibault envisioned the Audi Motorrad as a rival to BMW Motorrad. Audi Motorrad concept is powered by a Ducati-sourced 850cc, Desmodromic L-twin engine coupled to a double clutch gearbox.
