Trash incinerators are no place for fun; except if you are in Copenhagen because the brand new incinerator coming up there has room enough for a ski slope. It is going to be fun, because not many ski slopes in the world can claim to have hot burning trash underneath them. We’re not sure how people will love skiing a stinky slope, but it seems the project is a go and has already broken ground.
The city wasn’t very happy about the project initially, because of the whole environment impact thingy, but the architects seem to think that the long term impact of the incinerator/ski slope would be low enough to get it categorized as a friend of the environment. The project is the work of architects Bjarke Ingels.
