Coffee on the Go At The Velopresso Mobile Espresso Bar

We’d imagine a mobile espresso bar wouldn’t really find love with enthusiasts. But do something like that just right, and people will come flocking. Two students at the Royal College of Art, London put their heads together to create the Velopresso, a mobile espresso bar.

The design by Lasse Oiva and Amos Field Reid does not need electricity to function, but intelligently makes use of what is available for its own benefit. Five seconds of pedaling the trike will grind enough coffee for a double shot. A stove in the trike heats up the water and provides steam to run the espresso machine.
