Caterpillar House in Carmel, California is a wonderful looking, aesthetically appealing construction that has strong environmentally friendly roots. It’s a two bedroom, 2.5 bathroom house conjured up by Feldman Architecture. The house very nearly is built out of the ground it is constructed on.
Walls of the house are rammed earth made using the soil it sits on. The walls act as thermal mass to help keep temperature steady. Traveling the eco mile further, the house has excellent natural ventilation, glazing and photo-voltaic panels on the roof.
