The rings of Saturn are one of the best known features of our solar system, but a little known fact is that Jupiter also wears rings, although smaller and less easily visible. The rings were first discovered in 1979 by spacecraft Voyager 1, which incidentally is now the first man made object to reach the edge of our solar system.

It is believed that these rings were created by small meteoroid strikes on the planet’s satellites, although we are of the opinion that Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus simply are frat brothers with a thing for rings.
