Countless hours have been sacrificed upon the altar of Angry Birds. And it continues to go on. Lately though, it all seems to have run out of steam but things could get better by adding some spice to the mix; like using an actual slingshot to fire those birds and beat the crap out of those ugly pigs.

The DIY peripheral has been made using a mbed microcontroller, 3-axis accelerometer and a stretch sensor. Together, these devices work to give the slingshot an interface to the game; positioning the slingshot defines the angle of launch while pulling at the band defines the power that will go into the shot. Definitely beats dragging a mouse.
