We’ve never cared much for porcelain figures, and apparently German photographer Martin Klimas doesn’t either. Except of the part where we have accomplished nothing and Klimas has this wonderfully fascinating set of images. For the series “Porcelain Figurines” the photographer dropped the fragile figurines from a height of 9.8 feet.
To capture the full effect, Klimas set up his high speed camera to capture the image on the sound of the figuring crashing on the floor. It is intriguing how the setup sounds “easy” but would require nothing less than prodigious skill to accomplish.
