These photographs were taken for a short film The Sandpit, a film looking at a day in the life of New York City, in miniature. They may all look like the goodness of tilt-shift lens and photography, but photographer Sam O’Hare decided to ditch that technique, and instead opted to get that effect in post production of images captured by his Nikon D3.
The process does seem very laborious, and the method shows the skill and time O’Hare needed to put in to make this short. But it does all seem very well worth the effort.
