Incandescent lights and paper don’t get along, for like, thousands of reasons science can come up with. But then the world kind of likes incandescent lamps and isn’t quite willing to let go. Which has paved the way for LED lamps that kind of mimic the incandescent bulb, even if only a little. A Lite-On Award winning design, the Eco Light seems to follow the same logic, albeit in a remarkably different way.
Eco Light is a lamp made of paper and coated in electro-luminescent materials. Once the bulb has run its life, it could simply be recycled, thus working for the environment and saving a lot of waste. Although we have no idea how bright this design from Tien-Ho Hsu would actually be.
