Having a jetpack of your own is awesome, but you have to be awesomely rich to afford one. The Martin Jetpack, which goes on sale sometime this year, will cost $100,000 and only 10 rich people would be able to get their hands on this one. It uses regular automotive fuel to remain airborne for 30 minutes. It can fligh as high as 8000ft and as fast as 60mph. If anything goes wrong, a rocket propelled parachute for the entire unit should keep the flier safe. The device has two joysticks, the left controls pitch and roll, the right controls yaw and throttle.
