Designer Salvatore Simonetti has come up with an independent design proposal for a successor to the Lamborghini flagship, the Murcielago. The IAAD student created the Lamborghini Murciélago Next Generation concept with a design inspired by the Diablo, and a few other past models from the automaker. With the design so rooted in the Lamborghini tradition, the concept car has many clearly visible design cues from Lamborghini models. And staying true to modern sense, the Murciélago NG concept makes extensive use of Kevlar and carbon fiber to keep the car lightweight and strong.
Lamborghini Aventador was unveiled at a pre-show event in Geneva. The latest offering from Lamborghini is a lightweight with a curb weight of just 3472 pounds. Car names speak stats for Lamborghini, so the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 is a four-wheel drive with a power rating of 700PS (690bhp). The supercar has 690Nm of torque, and a 7-speed independent shift rod transmission. Powered by a 6.5-liter V12, the car completes the 0-60mph sprint in an astonishingly fast 2.9 seconds, and has a top speed of 217mph.
ASUS and Lamborghini have been creating gadgets with raging bull themes for quite a while now, and the latest offering is this HDD. The external hard disk drives work with USB 2.0 and USB 3.0, offer 500GB or 750GB of storage, and a speed of 5400rpm.
Automobile inspired gadgets aren’t a new thing, but they never ever fail to grab attention. With its latest offerings, Asus is only upping the game; the new Lamborghini inspired notebooks don’t just carry the automaker’s insignia, they carry some design elements from the supercars as well. Asus Eee VX6 and VX7 have design cues and a rear-end resembling that of the Lamborghini Murcielago to go along the raging bull marque. As for the specs, the laptops have USB 3.0 and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, LED backlit HD screen, processor power ranging from a 1.8GHz dual core Atom in the VX6, to an Intel i7 with up to 16GB of RAM in the VX7, and a Blu-ray player for some versions.
Lamborghini has unveiled its new 570hp supercar concept at the Paris Motor Show. Powered by a V10, it touches 62mph in just 2.7 seconds. The supercar concept has a special coating and a special assembly procedure. As you can see from the images, the car is all carbon fiber. Sesto Elemento serves as a demonstrator of what Lamborghini can do with a load of carbon fiber and will never see the light of production. There’s carbon fiber not just for the panels, but for the seats and suspension as well. More images after the jump.
Lamborghini Reventon is the rarest of the rare Lamborghinis out there. Only a handful were produced, so very few people could get there hands on the supercar. Not that most people would have been able to afford one anyway. The Reventon now has a “cheaper” version, a 1:10 scale remote-controlled car that runs on a mighty 3cc engine. Oh, and it also has a two speed transmission, hydraulic shock absorbers, disc brakes, and permanent all-wheel drive.
Some combinations aren’t meant to be, just like these. We like Lamborghinis, and we like animes, but Lamborghinis with anime themes are an entirely different subject and not very easy on the eyes. These anime-cars were spotted by Tokyobling at the Wonder Festival 2010 at Tokyo. More images after the jump.
Lamborghini Navarra concept speaks the design language of Lamborghini, and adds some curves and shapes inspired by classic sculpture. The concept from designer Adam Denning, who works with Lockheed Martin takes into account the raw power, and killer looks a Murcielago replacement should have.
The Lamborghini concept bike is awesome and out of this world. Designed by Marcello Gandini and Flavio Adriani the bikes called “The Zeus is Loose”, and if this concept becomes a reality we might see new roads exclusively for the Loose Zeus.
