Artist Creates Drawings By Tracing Her Body Movements on Paper

New Orleans based artist Heather Hansen is a specialist in what she calls Kinetic Drawing. Heather makes use of her upper body to create large works of art that has a touch of dance, and charcoal on her hands to draw patterns on large sheets of paper. The skill and precision with which she manages the macro movements is plain impressive, considering she cannot have the same control over her art as an artist making strokes of paint with a brush, or drawing with a pencil.

Massive Sea Serpent Skeleton on the Banks of a French River

People around the world talk of the mysterious monsters and creatures that are supposed to be inhabiting lakes and water bodies. Of course they remain elusive to the eye, like the famed Loch Ness monster, but there is little to deny existence of one when its skeleton shows up near a river. Well, it is an art installation, but we guess it is cool to pretend for a while that it isn’t.

Artist Heather Theurer beautifully painted Disney Princesses in oil paint. Well, of course we see Disney princesses inspired art all the time, and they are wonderful in their own right, the good old oil paint undoubtedly has a charm of its own. The set includes Cinderella, Merida, Mulan, and Rapunzel, all painted with oil on board. Original paintings for these have already been sold, but the artist has plenty of beautiful paintings for you to see.

The hovering tree in Potsdam, Germany gives the illusion of being disjointed at its trunk and floating in mid air. Created by Daniel Siering and Mario Shu, the illusion involved wrapping the part in plastic sheeting and then mimicking the background landscape on the sheets by using spray paint strokes.

Excellent Paper Cut Art Makes Paper Go Almost Out of Character

Our mind has a notion of what paper is, and consequently, of how it should behave. Cut paper art by Pablo Lehmann throws those notions right out the window by making paper behave in odd fashions. At some points, it’s almost like a fabric, showing itself off like a net. In others, it almost looks like a metal wire gauge, or sometimes even clay. Getting paper to be this versatile is no easy job, seeing that it does not normally lend itself well to creations and modifications like these.
