This large barrel is an artistic piece, and a Rube-Goldberg machine of sorts. Made by Rene Hoffmeister for the 3D re-release of The Phantom Menace, the barrel is covered in four Star Wars settings displaying Tattoine, Hoth, Death Star and Endor.

As the diorama rotates, the taller structures on it press against a mechanical sensor that hits notes on an electronic keyboard, virtually playing back the Star Wars theme. After its tours of the theaters that are playing this movie, the diorama will find its well deserved place in Legoland Germany.
