We’ve just come to know that human could be a very important raw material that has been ignored for thousands of years. Time to clean up the drains chums, and find the precious raw material that can easily be made into a leather-like flexible bioplastic. It is soft, it is flexible, and it is environmentally friendly.
The idea was conceived by Thomas Vailly for his Master’s thesis works that has so adorably been named The Metabolic Factory. A simple combination of human hair with glycerin and sodium sulfite produces the bioplastic that can be put to a variety of uses. We like the process sketch too much to not support such an idea.
