Russian photographer Andrey Pavlov loves ants, and these macro photographs make it seem that the tiny insects love him back. Pavlov developed an interest in ants while immobilized due to an injury. He spent that time reading about ants and observing the wonderful and powerful little creatures and their society.
While most of these images look photoshopped or manipulated, but Pavlov says that is not the case. The photographer uses his behavioral knowledge of ants to setup a scene through the paths ants are walking, or pique their interest. That accomplished, all he has to do is to stand on the sidelines, and let the placed equipment and scenes do their work. Kind of unbelievable.
