Volkswagen Plays on the Beetle With E-Bugster Concept Study

Playing on the classic Beetle, Volkswagen presented the E-Bugster study at the Detroit Auto Show. The two seater is a fully electric car that maintains the iconic looks of the bug, while going totally emission free. Lithium-ion batteries power an 85kW motor that can keep the car running for about 180 kilometers (112 miles). Volkswagen hasn’t really mentioned if it intends to put the concept into production.
