Hilarious campaign says life is too short for the wrong job [pics]

German employment website jobsintown has this amazing and funny ad campaign running, highlighting how life’s too short for the wrong job. The campaign basically features people doing mundane jobs in cramped spaces, in what we “assume” to be automated devices. It’s a guy pulling the puppets in the arcade game, another one singing inside a jukebox and a girl making coffee at the vending machine. Remarkably like the gadgets in The Flintstones, only without the prehistoric setting.

  1. I love the look on the cigarette machine bloke’s face. That look that everyone gets when they’re choking back a sarcastic remark because they know perfectly well that the next sarcastic remark will be their last.

But anyway, they basically summed it up when they said “Life’s too short for the wrong job”. That’s absolutely true. There’s no such thing as a perfect job but “imperfect” is a very different thing from “wrong”.  The graduate jobs market is tough and the chances are that most will have to settle for many “imperfect” jobs before finding that one that they’ve always dreamed of.  But I don’t believe that anyone should have to work a job that makes them profoundly miserable. Oh, I know that some people truly have no choice, but that doesn’t make it right.
