RHIFID speakers change music with location

RHIFID speakers, to put it loosely, are space aware. That awareness comes from RFID tags and processing power of the Arduino. What sound comes out of these speakers depends on where they are placed. The project called “This is a Journey into Sound” uses a matrix of RFID tags to classify the songs by specific genre and decade, with each tag having an iconic song of the said decade in that particular genre.

Rather than making them just song selectors, the speakers can also work as controllers for pitch, samples and effects. Adding more speakers to the matrix will give these a lot more options and more capabilities.
