The stirling engine ferris wheel may not be of any practical use whatsoever, but when considering it as a great “toy,” it goes full scale. Running through the power of expansion and compression of air, this ferris wheel uses two alcohol burners to heat the chambers of the stirling engine. This heats up the chamber and causes the air inside to expand and contract, leading to the pushing of the piston and rotation of the ferris wheel. Would have been a lot more interesting if it did not have a price tag of $1000.
