Pope Music: The Pope To Release An Album With Universal


It may have a ring of surprise and may be tough to believe, but apparently, Pope Benedict XVI has signed a record deal with Universal. The CD will record the Pope’s voice singing litanies, reciting biblical passages and offering prayers. The recording was done at St. Peters Basilica, and the Pope was accompanied by the Choir of the Philharmonic Academy of Rome and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Its going to be one blockbuster, simply because of the religious value, and the rather unique idea.
